removing triangle piece on f/sway bar
I'm removing the stock fron sway bar and there are two triangle shaped pieces with rubber bushings. I tried to slide them off by pulling, but they are on there good and the bar forms a squared shape at the end. Is there an easier way to do this? Grease perhaps?

do you have the sway bar out of the car or just disconnected? the bushings should disconnect from the triangular piece and allow you to slide it off the car

Cory,
In order to get the bar out, you'll have to get one side off. It will take a little effort but you should be able to push the bushing out of the triangle mount. You will push it in towards the center of the car. The bushing is sort of cone shaped and slides into the mount. It may take some force because as the mounts are tightened to the car, the bushings are forced into the mount plate. Once you get it pushed out, the bushing will more than likely be split. At least mine were. You can spread it apart and remove it from the bar. At this point you should be able to push the bar inward and then pull it out the other wheel well. Good luck. Why are you taking it out, by the way? Jim |
