Now this looks like a sweet ride!
If it was closer and I had the money, this would be mine.

-sigh-
It looks like a 70 black 914, chrome bumpers, without fogs, with 2.0 Fuchs that are white with scaling, with no valance, and an alien warp network where the rear valance should be. Inside it looks like a 74 w/o a console. The other one looks like stripped/cleaned/repaired/primered chassis waiting to have the windshield and targa bar cut. -shrug- Imagine! M

I don't know, I personally like the wheels and that's one of the few spoilers that I've seen that I liked. It doesn't look out of place like most spoilers do on these cars.

I agree with you Biggy..
The wheels I think look very nice, Rice? Maybe, but it compliments the lines of the car.. As does the spoiler.

...the spoiler does and adds nothing IMHO.... wait it would slow the rear trunk from flying up when it slips out of your hand ... The wheels belong on an escallade, the engine however belongs right where it is ... I would argue that the spoiler actually take away value ...
I also don't think I could get in the car with those seats. maybe with the top off. I find it interesting that people like to color coordinate thier engines with the cars body color. I find it a bit like wearing a shirt and a tie of the same color????

The seller referes to the engine as being out of a 76 SC. no such animal.
He says it is a stock 2.7 but no mention at all of timeserts or upgraded tensioners, both of which I consider manditory on a 2.7. No mention at all of rust or lack thereof. That IMO is the very first thing to be discussed when buying or selling a 914. Nothing wrong with this car at all than I can see, but there are plenty of questions that need to be asked before anyone considers bidding. I would not take the seller's word on any technical details either, have an independent shop or expert verify. Based on the ad I get the impression (right or wrong) that the seller is not all that technically competant and relies on a shop to take care of stuff. That's not necessarily bad, it just means he may or may not have the knowledge to correctly answer technical questions. |

I think the wheels do it for me, then the spoiler, then the color, in that order. I mean make me ill. There is nothing wrong with a tail, but the only acceptable ones are a duckie, or a 2 stage wing. Pewiud. M

the ones I don't like are the aluminum ones othat are huge ont he back of stock plain jane cars..... if the wing will do something, or if it looks like it should do something then I'm alright with em. Ya those guys are dumbasses and I don't like most of the cars they show, but they did have a segment about porsches once. Thye were 911's though. I've seen some stuff on bugs on there too. I don't like the seats too well either, but the rest of the white interior I think looks good.

The car sold on Ebay about a year ago. The car then had a stock black interior and 17" ROH wheels and no spoiler . Looks like the color is almost the same but it has been repainted. I bid on this but lost.
I really like the way the car looks then and now, maybe like the old wheels better. ![]() |

Bob, I'm with you..........that baby is beautiful. Please, no offense Skline, but that spoiler kinda screams "empty nutsack". Eh, eh, eh. Of course, that's just my opinion. Other than that, I love the lines. You gotta dig those flairs on a 14/6.
