Loose injector plug?

I have one injector plug that is loose (will not stay pushed into the injector). It is very loose when pluged into the injector. Any way to tighten the connection some?

Cheers

You might be able to tighten it, but you will need to reove the terminal from the housing and crimp it down tighter, then reinsert the terminal into the housing. Use a small probe to hold the locking flange down while you remove the terminal from the housing.

not to be negative but chances are it is cracked, I've ran into that more than once...........if it slips over the male end and is loose it's no good!

You could try taking a piece of fine wire and loop it over the connector to hold it in place. I have seen this several times, mostly on race cars.

If you need new connectors try Pelican and if they don't have them I think NAPA does. I use small plastic wire ties on the injectors and trigger points on out 1974 FI engine and they have never pulled lose. Good luck

I was able to get the plastic plug bodies from two local sources. Global Metrics in Belmont CA is a supplier of metric hardware and electronics hardware, and they were able to hunt up the plastic plug bodies for me. I was also able to order them from a Beck-Arnley dealer. B-A is a widespread distributor of car parts; they supply a whole lot of FLAPS in my area.

You're looking for a plug that holds two 3mm barbed female spade connectors. One that holds two 1/8" barbed female spade connectors may work, as 1/8" is close to 3mm. But I'm not sure on that.

Thanks guys..

I will see if the connector is cracked and if so....get a new conector. I hope I can just crimp the spade connecter some, if not I will zip-tie it for now. The temp will soon be dropping and I would like to get some drives in before the long cold winter hits.

Not sure if I will drive the car in the winter???
