Dude, I grew up in La Porte. Your right I can't remember ever seeing a 914. I've been in LA LA Land now for 13 yrs. and been a 914 owner for the last 7.

David Lee, we Meet last year. You got some parts from me when I came to Visit family in La Porte. Nice to see your putting together an event in good ol' Houston.

Have a good time.

Houston 914's

Mike, There are over 30 914's within a 90 mile drive of Houston. Most are in garages in pieces and I have been trying to bring a few of the owners together as sort of a "support group" to get more of them on the road. I am helping one owner with his 914-6 conversion and have been spending about 3 hours each weekend welding in his stiffening plates and mounts. His car should be ready for the body shop soon.

My rotary car has now been upgraded to a Chevy 305 with 911 turbo brakes. What a blast! I start on my roll cage on Friday.

I hope we see a good turnout at the swap meet. There has been more interest with the 911 owners than the 914 crowd, but I am glad just to see the group assemble and get to know a few more Porsche fans. Good to hear from you.....David Lee

I grew up and still live in Houston. Hell, My biology teacher in H.S. drove a beautiful 2.0. Two students had them one was a L.E. white orange car. I saw a bunch ...not many nowadays. ...used to be a fair amount at the local AX, still a few though. I have been thinking about buying one to do a 914-6GT car... I've got a bunch of spare parts from my 911.

Houston Swap Meet UPDATE Nov 8th

The event is on rain or shine........

There are two large vacant warehouses on site that are available for our use. Some table top space is available. First come- first served..... Those with trailers of parts and cars for sale will still have to setup outside, but those who get in early and have a smaller assortment of parts, may get inside the building.

Those of you coming to browse, please drive your pride and joy to show off. This is not a show, so I'll even bring my engine fire salvage car that still needs paint......I hope to see your there.....

David Lee

Really good turnout. Lots more 914 than 911 parts, but definitely some hot deals. A good time was had by all, and there were even some donuts left over.

Thanks, David.
