Bilstein Sport or HD's
I'm been thinking of putting new shocks on the car, and I was wondering what would you go with from Bilstein. My car is lowered and I have 140 pound springs on.
I like the Bilstein's that Wayne sells for the rear because the springs can be adjusted so you can lower the rear to be more agressive. But what kind are they HD, Sport, or something different. Thanks.

There is no difference in the rear shocks. Bilstein only makes one shock that will fit the rear on a 914. It is part number B46-0179.
Where the difference comes in is the front strut insert. If you want Heavy Duty, that is part number P36-0112. If you want Sport, that is part number P36-0113. The rear shock is the same. |

i had the same question. what i found out is that the sports have shorter rods that supposedly dont bottom out because they are desgned for lowered cars. HD is OE replacement
