Head Temp Gauge
I've searched and read the postings concerning this topic--that given, I'd like to ask my own question straight out. My head temp. gauge worked fine for the past year. I'd like to know if anyone has had their head temp. GAUGE die on them. My gauge is velcro attached to the dash in the left hand corner near the windshield where I can easily view it, and receives only slightly more vibration than what I expect it would encounter mounted in a typical console. Testing the SENSOR with a multimeter with the engine warm produced these readings: (ranges listed, as multimeters tend to fluctuate) 0.0-0.4 ohms while reving engine and supplying cooling air 0.7-1.1 ohms while idling 1.5-1.9 at engine cut off through to five minutes thereafter. So I believe the sensor to be functional. The red and black wire from sensor to gauge also check out normal. Before I replace the gauge I thought I might check with the 914 audience out there. All responses welcome. Thanks. John in Louisiana |
