Hi, been looking for this, but can't find, so as usually I just go to the experts.
What is the orginial grind of the 2.0L camshaft?

According to my Haynes manual the numbers are IVO 12 BTDC, IVC 42 ABDC, EVO 43 BBDC, EVC 4 ATDC. They do not specify where these values are taken I assumed them to be seat to seat numbers and this was verified by modeling the motor in Desk top Dyno. This gives the further numbers of intake duration 234, exhaust duration of 227 , valve overlap 16 , lobe center of 107.3. Intake centerline 105 and exhaust centerline of 109.5. I have a lift number of .472 inch at the valve. Lots of numbers hope this helps ya.

A fellow rennlister once told me that he found the cam lift specs in an old compilation of 914 road test articles and the lift values were:
Cam Intake Valve Lift (in): 0.38
Cam Exhaust Valve Lift (in): 0.361

I would bet those cam lifts are true...at the cam. multiply those numbers by the rocker arm ratio and that will give you the lift of the valve.
