Front Strut / Swaybar options?

Hey, under the car recently and see the Front shock inserts leaking. At least one is. The car still Drives great, has NO sway bars so it could handle better I guess, but suspension is very nice.
Anyhow, whats the deal with installing the thru-the-body sway bar in front?
I buy the bar setup, and plates w/ nuts right? I have a 70' do I have the holes for it?
Also If I need to get strut inserts which are best for an underpowered summer car?
After doing the swap is an alignment mandatory, or will the tie rods keep things straight?
AND- I plan on lowering the thing maybe 2 inches....how does this affect what inserts I want and sway bar install?
No fighting please...

Shocks: Bilstein HD. Good compromise between handling and comfort.
Sway bar: A 70 won't have any of the holes needed, I believe. Get your drill and your hole-saw out! You will also need a "U-tab" kit, most likely. Check your A arms to be sure.
A tech article from the Tech Articles section of this website may come in very handy:

I don't think the Bilsteins will have much of a problem dealing with 2 inches less than stock ride height. If it's 2 inches less than a 2-inch drop already, then... They're still probably OK. Probably.

Lowering the car will change the camber and caster. Might change the static toe, may very well be enough to cause adverse bump-steer. The "bump steer kit" will solve this. (It's longer bolts and some spacers; you can use a stack of washers or make your own spacers pretty easily if you want.) After you lower the car it would be a good idea to get that alignment. Replacing the shocks doesn't require it, but the lowering will.

I forgot this part:
How much should I expect to pay for inserts?
And
If I Swapped the front struts out with early 911 Struts so I could do a 5 lug conversion at some point can I still run my 4 lug brakes/rotors on those until I finish the upgrade?

Acox-
If you're doing the swap, what about you old stuff? You have inserts you wont be needing?

Boges will ride relatively-soft, Bilsteins next, then Konis. The Kill Yer Back and Koni Gas Sport shocks are both very hard, but the Konis should be adjustable to "not quite so hard". ;)
