are the 914 pedal clusters
interchangeable with early 911s? seems like a local P mechanic told me they are.

What other options are out there as far as pedals and/or pedal clusters?
Not that rice mod (bolt-over your pedals) junk. Also excluding the clusters with the master cylinder reservoirs built-in. I saw Kellzey's pedals on his site, but couldn't find them anywhere on the net. I really like 'em. |

You can upgrade the stock 17mm master brake clinder to a 19 or 23mm master brake cylinder (the 23mm Mercedes Benz one proves a very firm pedal that can take some time to ge tused to - I has 944T brake calipers and it worked great for that set-up).
.You can also cut the brake pedal about 1/2 inch at the pad end and weld it back together to facilitate "heel and toe". While you are in there, do, check your pedal bushings and upgrade to the bronze buhings if they plastic ones need replacing.
