Facet fuel pump

My car has sat in a dry enclosed garage for 14 years. It was converted to carbs and had a Facet fuel pump installed in the front trunk in the same spot as the original FI fuel pump. Now that I am getting the car back on the road do I need to be concerned about the pump having gone bad by just sitting abound for that long?

I would just replace the pump after a sit that long. The price range
varies like crazy on those facet pumps. I've seen them from $28-$90 for
the same pump. Drain the gas tank too and check it for rust. Replace the fuel filter and get all of the old gas out of the fuel lines. Your carb(s)
will most likely need a cleaning.

If you're thinking you have to pay anywhere near $90 for a Facet, stop and buy something decent. That kind of money will buy a much better pump. Quieter and higher volume.

Milt is right. facet should go for $30 at Kragen, Pep Bboys, Checkers, Auto Zone. Holley blue, a much better unit goes for $50 at the same vendors. also Summit racing and PAW

$90 for a facet? Insane.

CB Performance sells a nice rotary pump: 3188 and 3193.

Thats the rotary pump I bought, Its mounted in the engine bay and sometimes I really have to listen to hear if it running, well worth the money.
