something doesn't smell right
 

My car is sitting in one of thoses outside temperary garages, well it's been pretty cold the last few weeks so work has slowed. Sunday went to run the car, and when the fresh air blower came on there was a bad odor. I'm guessing a mouse or something climbed up in these and kick the old bucket. I really don't want to take the gas tank and blower assy out this spring, could I be hoping that the smell will fade as time goes by.

I had a buddy back home turn over a cooler of fish he'd caught in his truck. He missed one fish during clean-up, slid under the seat. Truck was the worst smelling thing you ever came across within 2 days. He had to sell it because his girlfriend puked inside, and told him if he didn't get rid of the truck, she was leaving. I don't blame her.

Then smell will remain dormant until spring/summer. When the heat from the temperature and the car increase, the smell will worsen. Then, when you do remove the death smell.....it may take several months, if ever, for the smell to fade. You may have to be like Jason and one of my friends and just sell the car anyway. And because its a teener...i know you would Not want to do that.......right?

The fish smell was horrific. I can't imagine many things worse than riding around smelling a dead body in my car. The bug would be on it's way to the pick-a-part. Sans all the 914 goodies on it of course.

It shouldn't be that bad, at the worst I would have to pull the blower and replace that? Any one see the Discovery Channels Myth Busters where they put two pigs in a sealed vette and let it sit in the heat for about a month, now that was gross.
Toast did you dye your hair? I was always partial to red heads, the black dress looks hot.

When it gets warm the smell will worsen and then it will fade. Picture a bell curve. It is no different than when a squirrel dies in the wall of a house. Except that it is a LOT smaller, ergo much less meat to rot (read, "odor"). This is not a big deal.

Yes I did. Needed a change for a little while. Thanks on the dress....black is my favorite dress color, tight fitting is my favorite style.

Go and get a bag of Kingsford BBQ charcoal and spread them out on plastic in the car (under hoods)

The charcoal will absorb the smell.
