Stock 165X15 but not very many brands available. Closest modern size readily available is 195/65x15. Might be able to use 205/60x15 but you could have to roll rear fender lip on one or both sides.

My roommate runs Pedrinis w/Dunlop 195/60x15's. That's about the widest you can go with a good stiff sidewall. The Pedrini is the same dimension as the 2.0 Fuch alloy, and the 4-lug Mahle for that matter. I wouldn't go any wider than a 195, and flatter than a 60 or 65, as 55's are expensive, and 50's will turn your speedo into a wish list.

This is all IMHO of course.

Hi, I have Dunlop 195/55 15 on Mahle wheels. The speedo is about 5 to 10 % faster than the rest of the car. I have some very mild rubbing on the inside of the front wheelwell. There is enough space on my fenders to accoadate 205's. IIRC the 195/55 are on a variety of little passenger cars (e.g. my wife's protegeeee) I don't think they are expensive.

195/55's are expensive when you get H-rated or higher.

I run 205/60 on 2liter Fuchs on the back no problem,
195/60 front.
Its a good combo, because you get that .366" or so hot-rod rake.
Everyone notices.
And good mileage because its downhill everywhere I go.

Forgot to say I got all 4 of my tires for $70 NEW at a random auto swap here in Washington.
Good tires too. Nice and round.

I'm running a set of Bridgestone Potenzas, they are 185s and fit nicely of course...not very wide but not narrow at all.

Next time I might do 195s but I do like the look of the 185s - not too much tire for the wheel. though - I was walking away from the car the other day and I looked back and thought to myself - "Man...those are a bit narrow."

no biggie - speedos way off too.
