'72 Yellow Parts Car @ Aadlen Brothers Yard (Greater L.A. People)
Hey volks:
Out and about yesterday looking for bits for the wife's Ghia, or Bay Window bus stuff or whatever I'm trying to fix these days... And there it is out near the back 40 at the Aadlen Brothers boneyard by the I-5 and Roscoe Blvd in the SFV. It's a '72, engine still mostly there, tail shift tranny converted to a side shifter (t/s stuff there but covered with a ???, s/s stuff hanging out for all to see. Motor still has the a/c compressor and brackets, but the interior is pretty well picked over, doors gone, passenger seat gone, rear deck lid is now gone (your humble correspondent - now ONE step closer to getting the '73 revived), but when I left the front hood was still attached. Bumpers also gone, lenses gone but the bulb holders front and rear not picked off, headlight motors and covers still there, exhaust off, but tranny bracket and heat exchangers there. FWIW - Aadlen's helpful cashiers like to help out indigent parts pickers by NOT keying in the fact that your $33 rear deck lid is NOT in fact at $33 rear deck lid, but a $24 front hood - "know it, learn it, live it" :-) Those guys are SO cool! Now you know what I did - 1:30 p.m. yesterday... Jim Hayden |
