NoVa 9:14 Breakfast/tech session?

Folks, we had to cancel the valve adjustment session at Norustscott's due to snow. Looks like winter may finally be losing its grip on us. Any interest in resurrecting this gathering?

dc914guy 02-18-2004 07:08 AM

Yes.. Why don't we talk about it over breakfast on Saturday? Anyone?

Hmm, Sat might work but I might have the entire crew along since we have a big day planned in DC. Anybody else bringing SO's?

JohnB 02-18-2004 05:31 PM

WooHoo! I got the kitchen pass! Wife has her hair appt Sat AM so I'm off the hook!

Saturday it is, who's coming?

jamcleod 02-19-2004 03:09 AM

WooHoo! SO has wedding shower Sat AM. i'm there

JmuRiz 02-19-2004 05:45 AM

Too bad there might also be a rain shower Saturday morning...I'll probably be there, just not with the 914, and maybe with the GF.

I'll be at the PCA meeting tonight also...unfortunately I've been a slacker and have yet to fix my headlight ground problem and probably won't have the 914 there either.

JohnB 02-19-2004 06:35 AM

Today is the wife's birthday so NO chance of making the PCA meeting tonight but I will be there Sat AM, perhaps with daughter in tow.

jamcleod 02-19-2004 07:40 AM

no PCA meeting tonight for me, going to see Earl Scruggs with SO @ Birchmere:) only 50% chance of rain sat morn at this time!

JohnB 02-19-2004 07:57 AM

Earl's at the Birchmere? Do they still have tickets? Wife would LOVE that! Seriously, we're into bluegrass (uh oh, maybe I shouldn'ta said that..)

norustscott 02-20-2004 06:32 AM

I just got back from the US VI 's whats the deal guys ... saturday?

jamcleod 02-20-2004 06:37 AM

JohnB 02-20-2004 06:39 AM

Yeah, show up with or without suntan.

How was Earl's show, Jim?

jamcleod 02-20-2004 06:46 AM

wow, 80 yr old still plays... show was great, very talented musicians (guess that's why they get paid to perform) there was a guitarist from a band "desert rose", couldn't pick up the name, who played with them, multi-instrumentalist, even played clarinet!he did a jango reinhardt solo tune that was impressive.
7 members: drummer, randy scruggs on bass, dobro, fiddle, Earl, guitar, multi-instrumentalist (mandolin, guitar, ...) 1st time i'd been to the birchmere....

JohnB 02-20-2004 07:03 AM

When I was in 7th grade in Nashville Steve Scruggs was in my class. He played guitar in the band (go figure). He's Earl's nephew but I have no idea what ever happened to him. At least I think his name was Steve. I wonder if i have that old year book?

norustscott 02-20-2004 03:06 PM

John,

Are you going to bring a kid? I will have the oldest in tow....

JohnB 02-20-2004 04:16 PM

Yes, I am, that'd be great company for my 11 yr old daughter.

norustscott 02-20-2004 05:08 PM
