question about new gas gauge

Ok, so I put in a new gas gauge into my car and it read that I had a full tank. So I'm thinking wow it works cause I topped off the tank maybe 5 miles before putting in the new gauge.

Now after 30 miles I'm starting to get the feeling that the gauge is stuck at full. It moves up when I turn my lights on and down when I turn my car off, but when the car is running with the lights off I have this feeling like it stays at the "4/4"

Is that possible or is it just my 914 paranoia?

Thanks

Adam

30 miles? you may not have even used 1.5 gallons... give it 75 or more before you get worried... even modern cars tend to stay at full for a little while... then start dropping steadily.
