Clutch pedal seems high to me...

Dudes:
I finally got to take my 914 for a quick drive yesterday - woo-hoo!
Anyway, I noticed the clutch pedal seemd really high. My knee almost hits the steering wheel while clutching and I'm only 5'7". What does this mean? I am planning on doing a search later tonight on this subject, but I just wanted to get a quick idea what could cause this and where to look first.
Thanks!
Andy...

Ok, sorry, the brake pedal is the one that is adjustable by 1". The clutch would need to be adjusted at the tranny cable end.

You could always put the seat back further.

I agree with Ms Breakfast food (there are so many different comments that come to mind to put in here, but I'll restrain myself (restrain? damn here I go again- no, stick to the topic...) I'm just sidetracked...), You need to crank in the clutch cable. Make sure that you have that clutch pedal stop thing on the floor board adjusted right so you don't over-stress the cable when you push the clutch down after you take in all that slack..

Dudes (and Ms. Toast):
Thanks for the help. I hope I didn't offend anyone by the reference "Dudes". I use that word a lot (too much - you'd think I live in CA) and it just comes out too easy sometimes. I'm glad to find there are some ladies on the list - especially petite ones!
Hopefully, I will get some quality 914 time tomorrow night.
Thanks again~
Andy...

No offence taken. I like to throw in sarcastic remarks to get attention. Hope I provided some help. Good luck.

Hey SGB, how do you like your toast?
