a/c finished!!!!
well "only" 31 days since I dropped it off at the shop...my 914 now has a/c !! The" few day' project became a nightmare due to the wrong compressor bracket being shipped ....and the replacement one shipped to a wrong address and becoming lost in a Fed X "black hole" Finally the right one was correctly delivered and project complete!! I get to take it home tommorrow and can hardly wait to check out the operation of this "cooler " pics of the installation will follow

Congrats sstine9!
Be sure to get us some pics. Did you witness the install to see how this was all put together? I'm curious to see the type of bracket they provided. Enjoy!

Well I spoke too soon...as I thought it was pick up..pay and drive day but there was a discussion on the altrnative location of the second condennsor unit as the guys at Blck Forrest did not like the inside the engine compartment location (vertically just behind the rear windshield) and opted to mount it horizontally below the motor as they feel as it will not pick up all the radiant heat from the motor compartment this way. all other components look great!!! the front condensor is low profile ...0nly 4" high (basically the size of a VCR ) and the interior underdash unit extends the entire width of the dash..with 5 air vents and a 3 speed motor w/ thermostat...Sanden compressor runs the unit.. well I;ll get back to you next week with pictures and my opinion on its performance
