914 Wiring Harness Value
I have a wring harness for a 914 and was wondering what it is worth. I picked it up years ago with intentions to use it in a car but the car has since been sold. It is the main harness for the car. Before i go to sell it i want ot know if it is worth anything or not. Thanks for the help in advance

According to the part number 914 612 021 10 and automobile atlanta website it fits a 1970 914. There are no defects it is still new in the bag. I saw that automobile atalnta is selling some for like 1800-2200. Does anyone actually pay that for a wiring harness?

Not anyone I know...
Last NOS main body harness I saw, went for about $400., but it was for a 74 2.0L 914. You are going to have to find someone who abolsutely positively needs an NOS main body harness for a 1970 (1.7L) car to get anywhere near that. I have seen the used ones go for ~50 or so on eBay. Not many people restoring the 1.7L cars...yet. The main body harnesses dont see much abuse, like the engine bay ones do. Someone would have to hack into it pretty bad to makeoit necessary to replace. |

as a point of reference...
I sold the main harness from a 72-1.7 for 100 bucks delivered... but it took a year to find a buyer that really needed it.. and I included most of the grommets and boots for it... just a point of reference... if interested buyer had a fire or really needs it then it is worth that in my opinion. brant |
