Starter hookup & I forgot where the wire go!

Is this a hot start relay? It's an Audi part. I haven't the slightest idea where all the connections go in fact, I forgot where the other ones go to hook up the starter. I tried to show all my wires including the ones off of the relay. Do I need this? If not, what do I disconnect & what do I leave & attach to where? If'n I need this where do all these wires go? There's a **** load of em. While we're on wires I forgot where the license plate wires go thru to get connected! I had a dumbass attack when I took all this apart & din't label it.
any help would be greatly appreciated;)

I think you will get a better answer than mine but here is a start:

Easy first: rear plate light wires go through two small holes behind the rear bumper top rubber then connect to the two lights. Make real sure you get the brown one on the ground terminal of the light socket (silver terminal I think, positive on gold) Probably best to partly dismantle the light to visually check. Get it wrong and you have a short that will blow the fuse.

That appears to be a relay to send more juice dirctly to the starter. You may not need it. I can't remember how to hook it up if you do.

You should have a yellow wire from the loom. It goes on the small spade terminal on the starter solenoid. The larger red wire is from the alternator and it goes on the same terminal (one with the nut) as the cable from the battery. Check the Haynes manual wiring diagram to be sure. It's been a while since I was under there. That other stuff is excess for the relay I think.
