I need help finding glass for my 72 914. my wife bought me a passenger side window but it ended up being for a 74 and did not fit.what is the deal there.

Sometime in '72 Porsche changed the dash vents, the passenger seat, in 73 I beleive they changed the window regulator and put in "crash intrusion bars" inside the door. From just looking at the two differnt styles ('72 and a '74) I can't see anyway of adapting that window to your regulator. To buy a late style regulator to use that window would work, but is a lot of effort.
Try the Pelican Parts classified, or the 914 club classified, maybe someone would be willing to trade? Sorry, but unless someone else knows otherwise I think that is your best option. Hey, at least you have a wife buying parts for your 914. Better than my family calling the junk yard to have it hauled away
