Plug heat range

I am installing a Crane XR3000,PS60 coil and
MSD 8mm plug wires. In some previous posts
on ignition replacements it was mentioned
that one range colder plug was recommended.
I went to the parts store and Bosch does not
list a colder plug for the 914. Any suggestions. P.S what is the gap supposed to
be with the hotter spark.

NGK and Champion I believe offer the best selection when it comes to changing heat range. Keep in mind that NGK is the reverse when it comes to heat range, the lower the number the hotter the plug. Most newer cars with high energy ignition systems are running gaps from .043 to .045, I believe that the .060+ gaps where proven to be a bit too much.
