rear brakes

Has any one converted to 911 rear brakes complete with the emergency brake assembly?

European Car had a tech article on putting 911 rear brake assemblies on the 914 awhile back. Though it seem worth it if extra braking is needed, it required rather extensive machining and welding to the trailing arms. Parts included 911 brake assemblies and sections of the 911 trailing arms, plus machining labor gave me the impression it would be an expensive venture. But it is possible and has been done.
