Clutch slip in the 914 turbo carrera

I am using the stage 2- 228mm heavy duty kennedy clutch - pressure plate with the 3.0 turbo and 901 tranny, the clutch slips a little when the boost kicks in, revs up a little then drops as the clutch finally bites in. The car is still accelerating and moving out while it is slipping. should I upgrade to a stronger setup or should I consider the slip a good thing in regards to helping the 901 cope with the torque surge. What do V8 guys with over 300hp and a 901 use.

I'm using the KEP stage III 9" clutch and have not experienced any slip.

Yes. I avoid burnouts. Let it hook up and go. Quickly run out of gears with no detectable slip.

When I purchase the stage 2 for the 3.0, a turbo addition wasn't even a thought. Stage 3 it is. Hows the engagement.

I need to think about upgrading a better pressure plate. I have a 6 paddle kevlar clutch disc with a stock pressure plate. I've slipped the disc a couple of times and had the engine rev as it slipped. But I think mine is related to the clamping force of the stock pressure plate. In my case, I'd rather slip the disc once in a while. I'm still runnung the 901. The up side with the kevlar as I understand is it gets sticky when it heats up. Tends to grab better. I was worried about getting the kevlar. Thought it would be hard to drive but it acts like a stock clutch.
