What is this? Need Your Help.
I was in the middle of converting to 5 lug, and was pulling the hub and stub axle from the donor car, when I realized that the stub axles I have are much larger than my others. I don't know if they are 914-6 stub axles (as the donor car is an original six), or if they are from something else (perhaps 911). They have 28 splines. Thanks for your help. Here are some comparison shots the 914/4 is on the left.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1086105756.jpg

I believe that 914-6 stubs are the same diameter as 914-4 ones. I'm not sure what you have there...

Maybe that is an SC or a 930 stub axle. It looks like it has been clearanced to fit. Keep us posted, I didn't think that they would fit.

Is it me, or do those look like they have 6 bolt holes?
|
It does look like there are 6 holes, but there are only 4, with two holes for pins.
I am wondering what will actually bolt up to these. I could not find any part numbers, only some unreadable stampings. Matt |
Brain Fart. I was thinkin those were hubs!

Differential output flanges.

Bus?
|
I don't think that they are differential flanges or from a bus. I took them off of a 914/6 race car and removed them from the 5 lug hubs. If a bus has the same amount of splines (28) then they could be from a bus.

Yes, you're correct, I just looked at a 901 differential flange and it is quite small compared to wheel hubs.

I am guessing that these might be 930 hubs. Does anybody have some 930 hubs or know the dimensions and number of splines so that I might be able to compare?

Post in the 911 forum, they will set you straight.
