914 purchase - long distance advice!
Is there a safe way to purchase a car (914) over a great distance? I will have a carrier pickup and bring the car from Indianapolis to Dallas,Tx. But what about the actual transaction should I use a wire transfer, a cashiers check, etc? I'm considering flying (round trip) into Indy to do the transaction but is there another way that would save me that extra expense and hassle? Maybe I could schedule the carrier to p/u on the day that I made the purchase and was there but how reliable would that be and more importantly is it necessary? These longdistance trades must be done safely all the time with all the cars on ebay (this is not one though). Thanks for any advice on this!

Have someone do a prepurchase inspection for you and get detailed pics.
Post here or on the 914CLub site for help with this. Then send some of the money (downpayment) to the owners and then fly out or send all the money and have the car shipped. Geoff
