warning and long lost 914er is home
first the important stuff:
there is a used car dealer in maryland who sells older cars some of them even nice. who in the past was trying to sell a 74 2.0 for 12 grand and it even had the upgrade of one trunk spring broke loose. now they have a 72 1.8 ( only 1.7 in 72 oh sorry sixes too ) with crappy aftermarket seals mixed with some cracked original ones. very cracked dash, seats poorly recovered (would need to be redone from sctratch ) , sail vinal cut wrong, wrong carpet, paint on seals, dented chrome, minorly dented bumper, tail shift tranny, very waffled bumper rubber, scratched roof, some minor rust visiable from underneigth ( not bad ) , and partial color change ( did not see how partial ). now for the good : fresh repaint in signal orange is probably useable and ssi's all for the low price of 9 k now for the personal update Hiede ( spelled wrong i know ) is sitting in storage under boxes and other stuff untouched for a year with the suby engine hanging from rope still. waiting for time, and some tlc. at last stage of work done found some rust at the clamshell to long joint not bad but otherwise car is solid. engine bay is still rust free even down the in the pits from hell under the battery tray ( or where it used to be ) will be resuming work soon and will post pics of 2.5 suby install with rad in front of engine bay
