what's the diff?

what is the difference between a 914-6 and a 914-4 flywheel?

Just about everything but the ring teeth. The 914/6 FW bolts to a 911 type motor that has (I think) 9 bolts vs. the Type-IV 5 bolt pattern.

The clutch disc is interchangable but I doubt the pressure plate is. Later 911 motors have a different FW from that of the 914/6 and earlier 911's. Some use a removeable starter ring and aluminium pressure plate.
