Oops, I think I may have cut too much!
My car originally had a/c so of course it has the big hole in the front trunk floor. I am putting a Chevy V6 in it and cut out the fender wells. In reading some literature from Kennedy (adapters)recently, I noticed it sais not to cut both. (floor and wheel wells) I think I f'd up. I have a parts car trunk floor--should I weld that in? Any thoughts and or facts would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete

Just weld the A/C hole back up.
To be picky about it you could look up in the factory manual and note the proper section to replace that area. The body manual shows all the different ways to chop and replace. What not to do is place some "support beams" in that line up toward the tank. I have seen a few people with good intentions of stiffening up the area put in rods/beams/tubes that look ok until you realize that in a front end collision they would puncture the tank. You could also cut a piece of heavy gauge expanded steel mesh to weld into the bottom opening for additional outlet area and for water drainage. But the hot air will probably rise and exit higher, going through the wheel well openings first.

Pete,
I have a a/c car as well and cut out fenders per Renegades instructions. Filled condensor hole with stock trunk piece and it turned out nice. John
