2.0 Oil Pump Cover removal

Just wondering if I am missing something. I have the engine torn down to a short block and the 4 nuts off of the cover. No love on getting it off. I suspect someone used some robust case sealant on it or something, I have pryed on it all I dare without bending or breaking the ears. My next plan was to heat it for about 20 minutes with my propane torch to try and release the adhesive.

Any thoughts or better ideas are greatly appreciated folks.
