Turn Signal Issues

I have a 1974 914-4 1.8L. The right turn signal doesn't work--when the engine is running--the left one works fine. Can someone send me a digital picture of the wire connections behind the TACH and the Fuel gauge cluster? I have wire diagrams but I think that a wire missing. If you can get me a picture(s) I will get you my home e-mail address.

I don't think the pictures you ask for will lead you to fix the turn signals.
Explain the problem specifically. The right turn signal doesn't work, when the engine is running (but does work when the engine isn't running?). If you can give the specifics, there are a bunch of guys on this forum that can will probably help you to fix the problem.

Sorry so long in getting back!
1. Left and right turn signal light come on when car isn't running
2. When I start the car the left turn signal works when the lever is moved to the correct position, but the right signal doesn't work no light , blink or anything
3. The turn signal indicator light doesn't work at all.
4. All the wiring to the front and rear light clusters is correct
5. The BLUE with WHITE wire has no home
6. The brake warning light does't work
7. When I pulled the hazard switch all wires seem to be connected, but there is a BK/GR/WH wire that has no home.
Other then all these little problems car runs GREAT--just keep using hand signals when I turn right--unless I can fix it.

The BL/WH wire goes to the turn signal indicator light(s) on the tachometer. The The BK/GR/WH wire goes to the parking brake light on the combination instrument (where the fuel tank level gage is at).

Connect the above two wires as indicated above and some the problems, but not all, should be resolved. Get back to us with your findings.

Good luck at it.

Phil
