How do I insert an image
 

This is probably a dumb question - but, how do I insert an image into a new post. I've got it down for a reply but I can't seem to figure it out for a new post.

Of course, I'm having my 1st cup of coffee now & may have this figured out after a few sips.

Should be the same way for a new post as for a reply. You can do the "Attach Multiple" thing; I think the link is there in the new topic as well as the reply pane.

If the image is already out there on the Web somewhere, you can use the "IMG" button or the "img" UBB tag to include it. It will look like the following, but with the curvy braces "{}" replaced by brackets "[]".
{img}http://www.some.image/image_file_name.jpg{/img}

No spaces are allowed between the tag and the filename, and it's probably cleaner to substitute "%20" (percent-sign two zero) for any spaces in the filename, as some older browsers don't deal well with the spaces otherwise.
