Well, I did it. Sorry guys.
The 914 is gone. Left my driveway today in a pair of very capable hands to begin a new life an an autocross car. The 924S left too as part of the deal and I have sitting in the driveway a _very_ clean and _very_ nice 1989 Guards Red 944.
I know, I know. I gave up a nice air-cooled Porsche for a liquid-cooled one. A liquid-cooled one with the engine in the wrong end of the car even! I just couldn't pass the deal up though. This 944 is really well sorted out and I really will not have the time and space once I move to properly look after a 28 year old car like the 914. So it's nice to know that it's going to have a good life kicking butt around an autocross. I'll miss the 914, but there will be another that comes along, I can't stay without a mid-engined air-cooler forever. ![]() I'll probably still hang out here too, don't want my 914 knowledge to fade and I like to think that I have something to add even though I've gone over to the dark side. Aaron
