valves were the first thing i did. and yes i adjusted them. one was way (almost .01" out) but i fixed it and they are all perfect right now.

couldnt work on the car today because here on the right coast, we have the beautiful things called hurricanes.

i'm going to pull all the injectors out and check that they are spraying correctly. so *hopefully* i should find my problem soon, get it fixed, and start driving this pig.

hrm....

ah, the beauty of cars...

so i put the new distributor rotor and cap on... and the engine wont fire at all now. pulled the injectors and checked them, they all spray evenly like they are supposed to. i'm thinking my battery may just be down, but my charger decided to short itself out. just my luck. but anyways, my question is, could installing a new rotor and cap cause some sort of problem that would make the engine not run?

when i try to start it, the engine turns over, and occasionally it will fire but it never fires up all the way and idles. i checked the points gap and its dead on. but since it wont idle, i cant check the dwell.

i tried jumping the battery but that didnt seem to help much either, granted the engine may have been flooded at that point

one more thing. i think i might have a leak at the hoses that connect the intake runners to the air intake distributor, but I cant find them on pelican. i'll try the old "cover the hose with duct tape" trick to see if thats the problem.
