oil temp sender help
anyone using a 911 oil temp gauge with a TIV engine? i have the unmarked 911 gauge and believe i have a calibration problem between the 300 degree sender and the gauge. the oil was running pretty hot (220-230) and my gauge was reading just above half way. not even close to the red. i can't seem to find anyone that sells a 250 in the M12x1.5 size. i think that would solve my problem, but curious if anyone else has been through this.
GA case if it matters.

220-230dF should be about the middle of the range for oil temp. 210 to 230 is the normal range. 250 is hot. 180 is cold. btw, the calibration values are on the gauge, you have to look for tiny numbers on the edge of the face. They may be in C rather than F, and if so, the top value will be 150, not 300.
