rattle sound from exhaust. ..

I installed Bursch muffler and S.S. heatexchanger to my '74 2.0L. Then strange sound coming from exhaust. Sounds like something is rattling with high pitch and hight tone. This is my first Bursch, so I don't know exactry what Bursch sound like. It tend to fade out over 3,000RPM, but you can hear it when the car idle. It's like deep sound (suppose to be only this one. . I think) plus 50cc bike or cart car exhaust sound.
Any idea??

Sounds like the muffler is hitting the heat shield under the trunk...

Good call Michael, I had a horrendous grating/screeching/buzzing sound when my lower rear valance somehow got pushed in just enough to barely make contact with the Bursch. Pulling/bending the valance back out cured it immediately.

Is the Bursch in question brand new, or "new to you"? Maybe there is something broken inside, which would cause a rattle. Had a similar problem with my BMW when a weld broke inside the $2500 stainless steel high-flow dual cats. It sounded like a kazoo with a percussion backup.

(Actually at first it sounded like an empty coke can full of pennies being shaken...then the kazoo band started up).
