Debate

Hi guys I was hoping you could clarify some thing for me. I have a 2.7l 6 I am going to use in a mid engine aplication. The question is can I just bolt on a 914 tranny using my existing fly wheel. I've heard that this can't be done my fly wheel needs to be changed I have run into someone who is adament about it can be done. whats the scoop?

To mate the 2.7 and your 901, you need an early 69 or older 911 flywheel. They are readly available, new for around $350.
The 914 flywheel mounting bolt pattern is different from that of the 2.7 crank....

Go see these guys....they can make you a new flywheel and provide an oversize clutch package and cutout so you can handle all the extra horse power.

The older used 911 flywheels are overpriced and use a smaller clutch.

Kennedy Eng Can also modify your existing
914 Flywheel to fit the 2.7 and 914 tansmission.
