Thansk for help |

|
Hmm
Do you know where it goes to (ex. lights? )?
|
O.K. Took the fuse panel down. I have 2 black wires(no stripes), both are terminated to 1 connector and that connector is termated on the 4th terminal from the right, on the fuse panel.(sitting in the car) It is the terminal closest to the driver (closest side of fuse)
Hope this helps. |
Probably it is/was for something that is no longer used or is not working? There are several switched 12 fused connections such as the one mentioned by elwood-914 which is used a lot. You might want to look up under the dash to see if there is a crimped ended wire that is just sitting there or one with tape on one end? Also is there any tape residue or solder on the end of the wire that is hanging as that can give you a clue as to what it connected to under the dash. Good luck

my recommendation is to compare your connections to the schematic. somewhere on one of the BBS's, maybe this one, there is a color schematic. with a 30+ year old car, you never know what the PO (s) did and it would be worthwhile to verify wiring connections....
