po stuff/ d-jet follow up
Well, It appears that my PO swapped a 1.7l Pressure Sensor for the bad 2.0 unit in my car...The car ran, however, it ran lean all the time. Found out the problem by comparing unit part numbers with the pelican web site, Thanks Pelican! So I am looking for a replacement. Nevertheless, I thought I would try to adjust the unit and I can report 90% success. I have backed out the adjust screw approximatly 5 turns. The car is still off slightly on power ( if you pump the throttle during acceleration you can feel a slight pick up in performance) but no longer hesitates @ constant throttle and the backfire/pop from the intake has stopped...I plan on using the unit as a back up in the future. Had anyone had any success with this in the past? Scott.

I put 96mm piston/cylinders on my 1.7 not to long ago and followed the tech article that describes how to modify the pressure sensor to make it adjustable and had very good success. I have been told that the sensors are exactly the same for 1.7 and 2.0 they just have different #s and the adjustment screw is set differently. The one I modified can now make the engine run from lean to quite rich. I found the set screw needed to be turned no more than two and a half turns to cover this entire range. I settled for a little rich to help keep the engine temp down (no external oil cooler)
