Exclamation coil & wires for Mallory dizzy

well I finally corrected my charging problems so I'm installing the Mallory unilite I got from pelican last month. Reading the instructions and checking old posts make it clear that one must not use certain coils and wires. I have bosch blue with .050 & petronix that have worked for 10 years. Does this mean I've got a ballast resistor in my coil (I think so.....)? I put on magnacore wires last year. The Mallory instructions note "no solid core" wires. Are Magnacores OK? They work fine with the pertronix too, so I think this means it should be OK but I don't wanna fry that dizzy. Somebody reassure me or correct me before I do something stupid!

Right now it is at about 30 degrees before tdc. Its runs mighty good & idles about 900. Jake, are you watching? I'm sure you readjust the spring tabs inside. What advance do you like? Will you share? Other Mallory users? I think it could be even better.
