1.7 eng smoke

Hey guys,
When I'm driving my 1.7 & I decelerate a bunch of smoke comes out. It only happens sometimes & definitely when the car is warm. Any suggestions?

White smoke or black smoke? Black smoke is bad - it means that there is oil leaking past either the guides or the rings. White smoke can be normal, or indicate that there is too much fuel in the system (maybe running too rich)...

White smoke could also be too lean - or timing .. best bet is to adjust your timing (Wayne's got a tech article covering this) and see if that helps .. if not, start checking your fuel system (carbs or injection?). Good luck ..
