five lug lugnuts

I am putting the wheels on my 72 with a fresh five lug conversion. Does anyone know if porsche wheels require a a special lug nut? Or can I just go to a regular parts store and get some 14mmx1.5 lugs?
thanks
mark

At least where I am, the local parts place only had
14x1.5 in a huge heavy conical-seat style. You will
need the curved seat for any real wheels. (I used
the cone ones on steel wheels on my non-914 for
snow tires.)

You should use the aluminum (expensive) ones on any porsche alloys. That is all I know.

Whether you use steel or alloy, don't use lug nuts from the tire store. Get the steel ones at VW. They are the onse that fit the bus as far as the last application, IIRC.

Anyway, the shape of the bowl in the Porsche wheel is different than the standard. Look at a Poscshe nut and an American one. You'll see the difference right away.
