Try the 911 board...most of us own 914s and the Carfax is only good down to 82 ish....914s were made until 76....

Actually, he is asking someone to do a carfax for a jeep, not a 914. It is a 2002, I believe, because of the "2" before the "p".

Anyway, I am not surprised there were no takers (at about $15 out of their own pocket) for someone who obviously already has access to a computer

Sounds like you haven't used Carfax. The most economical way to do it is to buy a ~60-day subscription that you can check as many as you want with, and so people ask if someone can check one on theirs "free" as it were. I don't have one active now.
