Are you trying to tell me what on-topic posts I can make on this forum?http://www3.telus.net/public/alpine65/stfu.gif Btw, what is it that you like about "ruddy boys"?

Has someone put a VR6 into a 914?
interesting.

Alfred1 01-10-2005 01:14 PM

I bought a VR6 motor to install in my 914. Kennedy Engineered Products makes an adapter and clutch package for this application but it looks like the rear firewall will need to be modified to install the VR6 and 901 transmission using the stock transmission mounts.

Yeah, lend me some money. I got the engine and tranny but I still need a lot of other stuff like the adapter and clutch package so ... how's about $1000 to start?

On every 914 BBS I've ever seen there are more dreamers than doers.....and there's nothing wrong with dreams.
Every project I've ever done started with a day dream.

Lately I've been dreaming bout the new Z06 Vette.......that worries me :D

I was a "doer" for a couple of years of auto shop in high school and then for an automotive repair course at vocational school. Plus I gots books and can read.

Just my opinions, of course, but....

Doers rip the guts out of their cars and get to it. Then there are 2 choices. Finish the thing or take up gardening ( or sumthin'). The easy (and fun) part is collecting parts....the hard part is making them suckers fly in formation.

Hotrodding costs money....gardening is cheep by comparison.
Either one will grow on ya.....I just cracked myself up again:D

I agree 100% JP, Nothing wrong with being a dreamer, just don't pretend to be something your not.
