914-6 value?

Just curious what a 914-6 with a decent restoration is worth?
I know of one sitting, its halfway done etc...

Half way done or rather halfway allpart-$5000 to 8000(new repaint)

Done-$10500-25,000

Depends on the quality of the work!

Its painted with the engine and interior out. It looks like it has a lot of potential. Its an original 914-6 from what I can see. I will look at it closer on friday.

Look closely at the quality of the repaint.
How much rust repair was done?
How much repair panels are installed and the quality of the install!
Butt welds or lap weld?
Was the whole tub dipped?
If it is a quality repaint then a roller is worth $5000 with all the parts in boxes unless its a top quality repaint.
Usually, half the damn parts are lost or in poor condition so to get the car up and running is expensive. The cost of rebuilding a six even a oem 2.0l six is expensive so better to install a used 3.0l or 3.2 (4000-5000)

See....
roller $5000
engine that runs-$4000
misc parts -$2500 -new seals, interior parts, windshield, seat repair kits, carpet set
then you gotta figure out your time to re-assemble it, cleaning and restoring all the bits and pieces.....

Geoff
