Does Anyone have the time?
I have a center console VDO clock, and if i had to rely on THAT clock, I would never be on time for anything! Are these things able to be fixed or re-built or should I just leave it be or what. Does anybody have a working clock that I could maybe buy?

I had several and the one in my last one kept perfect time. They are out there. I also hear there are places that rebuild them. I dont know off hand of one though, sorry.

The early type is usually repairable - there is a low-temp solder fuse that typically blows. See the tech article on this site. Also, there is a speed adjustment screw on the back IIRC. They will never be as accurate as the late quartz VDO clocks, but should be fine for most purposes.

If you don't want to do the work yourself, places like http://www.paspeedo.com and http://www.nhspeedometer.com will do repair work to them. Pelican used to work with a VDO shop to offer rebuilds at cheaper prices than those two shops charge, but I don't know if we still do or not. Might be worth a call. 888-280-7799.
