Question on Speedometer Removal
Help!
I'm trying to remove the speedometer but I can't seem to figure out how the "trip-ometer" is attached to the dash. Can anyone tell me how the get this thing our without a tourch. Thanks....................Vern |
There is a flat, round nut at the end of the cable's shaft. It has two notches that take a special tool or a carefully used screwdriver. If you have the knurled knob, it has a very small set screw to undo before it slides off the post.

The really cool thing to know is where to get replacements for the knobs!
Any ideas? I used a pointer knob from some electronic equipment and it has a set screw but it'd be nice to get the knurled knob if they can be had. You machinists out there: opportunity knocks! |
