Windshield reinforcement comments
 

Has anyone done/seen/got a comment on the early GT windshield reinforcement.

"This was an extremely lucky shot! Before the car got its trim for the windshield post, I got this photo of the welded in reinforcement. Early GTs had a habit of breaking windshields before addtional bracing was put in. "

The early cars had roll bars, not cages as are required today, some were alloy and the top of the bar in many cases were way below the top. I think this was a strengthening idea in case of roll over as you will notice the absence of a front downtube by the window post.
