tail shift linkage removal
I'm changing to a side sift, but I couldn't get the short linkage piece that is under the firewall, the one with the knob attached. I presume you have to slide the clamp off from the inside, but couldn't get it to budge. Am I missing something here?

You have to completly take the bolt out of the clamp on the linkage in order to remove the short piece...simply loosening it won't do it since the linkage is grooved.
