Rear Upper Spring Retaining Plate

I'm in the process of installing 180 lbs. springs onto Bilstein shocks. The Bilsteins were supplied with a new lower spring retaining plate and I presume I am supposed to reuse the original equipment rear upper spring retaining plate. Only thing is, the heavier (thicker wire diameter) of the 180 lbs. springs do not fit completely within the original rear upper spring retaining plate. Is there an aftermarket upper retaining plate or should I just use the original even though it's not a good fit (won't completely fit within the retainer cup of the rear upper spring retaining plate)?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don
