cleaning out dizzy, sprayed my eye with carb cleaner
ouch...it hurt for a long time....
my eye is still red. the problem didnt go away so i'm going to grab my other FI dizzy and try that tomorrow morning...

Britt,
make sure that you re lubricate everything in that dizzy or you will have problems later. I made that mistake once of cleaning it with carb cleaner... after that the car kept dying suddenly and leaving me. found that I forgot to relubricate the points blocks and lost the point gap in a couple hundred miles. don't re-use that dizzy without fully re-lubricating the shaft and the points (with distributor points conductive grease) brant

did that, thanks for the tip.
I too forgot about the distributor grease the first time and I got stranded on a major interstate... i oiled everything with 10W-30 oil, and put some in the shaft too...
